Well I've caved and just put myself on the wait list for the regular edition. So, fingers crossed!

Damn, this forum is going to be the ruin of me!

#399 arrived today. It was "hiding" under the floor mat when I came back from class. Yeah, no signature required. FedEx guy has a sense of humor I guess.

This thing is amazing and whatever pictures you seen this side of ResinDog's do not do this piece justice. I think it is the one Sideshow item where you really get every single dollar and more worth of product. I can't conceive this statue not being a part of a serious comic fan's collection.

Whatever imperfections that you find on the throne outside of actual cracks can be very well hidden. You can chalk it up to "weathering". Mine only had 2 very minimal ones that may even be intentional. The detail is amazing. Note that the green hue you see bleeding is just my crappy camera and is not actually there.

I tried to reach for Doom's gun but he would not let me. It really is stuck in there. How did you guys get it out? I don't want to force it so for now this day goes to DOOM!!! We'll meet again Victor...we'll meet again...

The hood is tricky to give Doom the right look. I moved it a little so you could see his big forehead.

The box has a 'die-cut' pattern on it. Yeah, it's the 90's comics market all over again.
Even though the box art is vertical the statue box opens horizontally once you slide the 'die-cut' outer box.

All in all this may be the best comic based statue I have purchased so far. It's better than X-MenVsSentinel and that one is great. The detail they put into it puts this piece past mere "comic statue" and in the category of work of art. If you can't get the exclusive please get yourself a regular one. You will not be sorry. Remember, I don't care what pics you seen it is MUCH better in person.

this piece is awesome! I wasnt sold at first with the face plate being a dead on likeness of Doom, but after seeing it in person, it blew me away!

Somehow I've regretted not getting the Ex version. I think the Chalice on Pedestal completes the pic. Getting a custom made display case to make up for it. Hope to post it soon.
