I remember hearing about the detolfs that were assembled with the bars out instead of in causing the glass to slip through, but i've never heard of detolf glass breaking or the welds breaking in a properly assembled detolf. I have 13 detolfs and I have a good amount of weight on each shelf, never had any issues.

If a weld was to break it would have more to do with it being faulty than the result excessive weight weakening them over time. I've never heard of a detolf weld breaking for any reason though.

l re welded all the welds and welded extra round bar under the glass so if the glass snaps from my heavy lord of the rings pfs then the statue wont come crashing down.also added a mirror.
