Shame - 4/5
Terrific performance from Fassbender. A different and moving take on what being an addict could be like. McQueen did a great job too.
Black Hawk Down - 3.5/5

I had high hopes for this one. Both Cube and Cypher by the same director are really good. Splice is a science gone wrong movie. But it feels like horror elements were inserted in. I was pleased with the movie up until the last few minutes.
Takers - 8/10.
A big surprise. At first I thought this was simply Heat for the Fast and Furious crowd. But it becomes a good heist movie because of the performances. Zoe Saldana has a small role. Idris Elba is awesome as usual. The last scene is great. I can't wait to see him in Prometheus. Paul Walker is bad ass in this movie. Probably his best movie yet. The rest of the cast is surprisingly strong. The soundtrack has a bunch of cool tunes. There is a chase scene that is almost as good as the opening of Casino Royale. It's not perfect like Heat. But still worth owning.

Splice - i had to take a shower aftrr seeing the movie, the kind where i just sit down and cry coz i felt dirty.
Takers- i thought it was just a really long hip hop video lol.

Snowtown: Not sure how to rate this movie. Very well made and extremely well acted, but horribly disturbing. It's based on the true story of one of Australia's worst serial killers. There are some very, very wrong people out there.

Hugo - 10/10 - fantastic film; a simple premise just blossoms into something so much more... this movie is something special.
The two leads were magnificent. This is a movie for adults, disguised as a movie for kids, while being entertaining for both.

I watched it half awake (literally finished it then posted that "review"), but enjoyed it thoroughly; it's so vibrant that initially I had to convince myself that it wasn't cgi. I think it's safe to say I'll buy it on BD at some point.

Friday the 13th Part 3 - 8/10 I know, its high for a slasher film like this, but this is the first movie Jason becomes the Jason we all know and love. Enjoyed it.
