I had a huge collection of female McFarlane figures, then I started collecting GG Harry Potter and Star Wars busts.
I am glad I sold out of McFarlane when I did. His female figures were still hot items and I got plenty for them. Can't say the same now.

Prior to discovering Sideshow, I collected McFarlane Spawn figures which I still own to this day. Its boxed up somewhere in my home. Memories!

I started purchasing the figures when I was in high school so rather than spend money on crappy cafeteria food, I spent it on McFarlane figures. I stopped collecting action figures because my interest waned. I feel that McFarlane figurines are not the same as they were before. I purchased the Michonne action figure because I love the character so much. The paint application was decent yet I wish the quality was different. I wanted the quality that I seen in the mid-90's.

I actually dropped off my entire Spawn McFarlane collection at the front door of Goodwill before they opened. I just wanted to clear space out of my apartment, and they weren't really going for big money on ebay at the time. Most were unopened, and in excellent condition.

In hindsight, it was a mistake to do that. I should have just sold them on ebay for whatever I could get.

So to answer the question, McFarlane toys was the big company I invested lots of money in. Second, it was Bowen designs, with the first FS Thor being the very first statue I purchased from them.

Lastly, it was Hard Hero, as I absolutely loved their short lived Marvel line of statues.

Now, as my money and tastes have evolved, I am primarily a SS fan and really only purchase statues no smaller than 1:5. As far as Marvel from SS goes, I only purchase 1:4 or bigger.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I had a few Bowen statues before I found Sideshow. When I did I sold all my Bowen statues as I found them inferior in the detailing compared to Sideshow's comiquettes and PFs.

Ya i got rid of all my spawns, i had doubles opened and closed at the time. I had most of the first series (rare ones) too all closed mint and when i sold them it was at their top dollar for them too. Glad i sold them off cause like a year later they started to drop in price so much that comic stores in my area could not sell them for retail any longer.

Even sold off my spawn comics too, had a signed 9.8 Spawn 1 CGC too from todd and it sold for a ton on ebay even tho it was a green label since i had it signed before CGC was even out there.
