My point here is not racist or sexist, but more that these changes were made all under the guise of "fresh and new". Fresh and new to me is creating entirely new characters and having them grow into their own identity. While I enjoyed SLJ as Fury (and still do), the fact remains (to me) is that the identity of the character we all grow up knowing has changed.

Come on General, I think you know what my stance was in my post.

It is 110% alright to have a discussion if you dislike the casting of JS because the actor does not reflect the classic version of the character. Vallos' post is a perfect example of what is acceptable. What I want to avoid was some of the sweeping generalizations that plagued this thread before.

FTR the rules go both ways bro. In reading some of the posts elsewhere from folks happy with the casting I won't stand for people rubbing the casting in others faces or championing political agendas. We can have a great debate about the pros and cons of this move without deteriorating into low brow barbs bro.
