French Doors with Screens??
So my boyfriend is having work done on the exterior of his house. Which will include ripping out the back door which is showing signs of some wood rot.
No problem there.
The question is -- the door is being replaced with either a slider or French doors -- his choice obviously but he asked my opinion.
Currently he a single swing-in door that has a sliding screen. But we both like French Doors. Problem is we can't find French Doors that have a screen option.
Do they exist? Does anybody have a set-up now like that?
Or are the options to get a slider with a screen, or suck it up and let bugs in with the French doors open?
I'm not all about the bugs. I HATE mosquitoes but love fresh air.

French doors with screens? Seems like an oxymoron. Government intelligence.

I'm going to have him look at this as an option. We thought about something like this, but I'm not sure how keen he is on the idea....this pesky damn door

HAHA -- I googled around for it and some people had custom made doors with a hidden sliding screen, others had models where it was build into a seperate tract....of course those were all custom and therefore $$$$
Odds are now he is going to replace-in-kind the door/screen. Or get a slider with built-in blinds.
I think I finally found something that stumped the forum

Usually French screen doors are a special order. The last set that I had made for a client were about $700 (per set.) for full glass storm doors and screens (2007). The glass has to be tempered for safety which contributes to the higher cost.
If you are just interested in screen doors and not the glass storm panel, you can always inquire about pricing it that way.

I don't have any pictures right now, but if I drive by that house I take one for you.
