I honestly thought JND would be the last company to lower their prices, considering the demographic they attempt to cater to. Good to know that the market isn't carried by a small group of wealthy collectors, but by the masses of regular income collectors.

I also think it's strange QS didn't see this coming. The market went down the gutter months ago, very few pieces are selling out nowadays, especially if they're on the more expensive side.
But did JND truly lower their pricing structure, or is just marketing?

I’ve preordered the MP Catwoman, but look at the main single piece objectively. It’s not a full silicone head sculpt, and it has no rooted hair. Those two things alone accounts for a significant price saving. Frankly, imo the piece is overpriced now. It only seems to be a bargain, because of what some of us have spent on pieces from JND where they have gone all out.

I agree, but we won't know for sure until john wick comes out. The license might be cheaper compared to DC or Marvel. If they keep Wick at or lower than the 1/3 ledger Joker, that should be fair imo. I wonder how it compares to have high end tailoring on the jnd to a big silicone hulk body.

Yep, that's smart for sure. If they lowered it to something crazy, i think fomo would kick in really quick on this one. If the ES got dropped to less than a 100, I might even bite the bullet and just go for it.

If you follow the jnd groups, it's such a small group of people that constantly post and praise everything in there. I think their 1/6 line is already DOA, so they had to do something to at least make it look like they are changing for the better of the collector. We'll see how long it lasts.

I made the same observations about the single CW's pricing, but since I'm not interested in the character, I decided not to be too vocal about it. Admittedly, it's a clever marketing tactic on JND's part.

I just went back and checked the prices of their previous duos, and yeah, not much of a price decrease on this.

As azurepred said, John Wick, if that is their next release will show whether or not JND's statement was just a marketing ploy.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Super-impressive piece although the limited articulation doesn't really add much to the overall statue.

Personal taste only but I am not a fan of the articulation at all. That aspect feels more like an action figure to me.

I also think they could have had a well painted sculpted body for this. If they would have done that, I think the price of this would have been significantly lower too.

The articulation is not even really worth talking about. It’s so minor it may as well not be there.

Sure it might be slightly useful depending on how it’s displayed. But…..

But at the same time, I don’t see any reasons to be all that negative about it either. Any available movement may just be a side effect of the internal armature that they’ve decided to use (probably not, but you never know).

Though it looks like the main negatives some are complaining about, are it makes it a poseable toy and not a statue. It’s at risk of damaging the silicone (though if anyone really does play with it that much…..), and that it’s making an already expensive piece even more expensive.

I feel like this video got 0 traction on social media with getting people who haven't ordered it excited in any fashion. I guess they are too stubborn to give the people a much more "affordable" version. I know a lot of us have said this already, but just make the damn thing in translucent resin, keep the glass eyes and hair. They would sell so many like that if the price were kept sub $3k.

I?ve preordered this, but imo even if they had kept it below $3K, many would still have complained. Even with JND charging so much, many still scoff at paying $2K for any collectable.

Just look at all the complaints that can sometimes surround the pricing for 1/2 scales. It?s been around $2K for nearly a decade, and people still complain about spending that much for pieces in a museum pose.

But you never know, maybe in a couple of years after this releases, they will do a resin variant.

I’ve just paid off the balance on another $4K USD piece, being their Thor bust. So at this stage what’s another one.

Though given the general reception, sometimes I wonder how close this Hulk piece is to being cancelled?
