It is quite cool but I do kinda want to see his face. I picked up the rereleased one for a steal at $600 shipped so it didn't come with that stuff but for the price difference I can live with that :P Shame on them for rereleasing it really :|

When the Reaper General was originally released there was no COTD yet, so really it was kinda like getting the exclusive version years before the standard edition, I'm glad they released him again, because the original one is almost impossible to find

Well sideshow among others release statues all the time that have exclusive versions and standard versions, I know most of those are released at the same time, but i dont see a issue with this,i wouldn't have minded a different sculpt, but the people who got the original, got a different arm & sword, a extra portrait, and much different base, so I dont see any big issue here

Rereleasing a statue is generally quite frowned upon, they are supposed to be limited. A small piece or two doesn't make it really that different. Just a lazy cash grab is all it is.

Well If I felt this strongly about it, I sure wouldn't have bought the 2nd version, just out of principle, no matter how cheap, Sideshow, like all companies is trying to make a profit to stay in business, I think there are enough differences in the 2nd version that it doesn't hurt the uniqueness of the 1st one, I buy these things for enjoyed, not to resale, 1of 100 means the same as 1 of 100 million to me personally, but to each their own

This is one of those lines I regret not jumping on from the beginning. The furthest I got with COTD was buying the t-shirts SS offered. I was just focused on other things back then. I would have a killer collection by now.

Believe me, for the price of the OG reaper back then, it was a tough decision, But I bit the bullet and flexed those payments (I think it was $900??). Second highest amount I paid for a preorder statue. First was OG XM Studios Cable.
