Although, I think that the Bowen Elektra is just "ok" in that it was done back "in the day" when perhaps things were still relatively "new" with Bowen Designs and they were trying to for lack of a better term,..."work things out" as well as "work the kinks out," these two collectibles are BOTH VERY different in SO many ways.....
Size (scale)
Pose
Texture
Time of completion
etc., etc., etc...
In my opinion, these factors as well as well as so many others make it a little unfair and unrealistic to have an actual "comparison" contest between the two.
For me, the pose of the Sideshow is a lot more dynamic. For me, the "fabric" and overall "texture" of the Sideshow comes off as being more of a "doll" than that of a statue. For me, the scale of the Bowen is better preferred for MY PARTICULAR collection whereas the Sideshow is monumentus and borderline overwhelming to display. For me, there probably has been more attention to detail in the face paints, etc for the Sideshow as it was done much later in time and therefore has had many sources of reference to work from whereas the Bowen was done some time ago.
For me, overall, I would prefer to have the Bowen Elektra in my collection (as I already do) and would probably NOT consider getting the Sideshow version.
But I can totally understand the appeal for this version as "a stand alone Elektra"....it certainly has many positive and collective-worthy qualities about it.
Again, all just my opinons.
Cheers.
