agree. the hair sucks and i also think the attempt at clenched teeth on the PF falls a bit flat. i look at the SS Elektra in my shop everyday and try and see what everyone likes about it. but i can't get round it. the rear flap is good but the front of her costume is sewn on to her chest!! boooo! the only thing going for it is the excellent paint job, compared to the Bowen. but for the pose and overall execution i still go with BD. if the face was better on the PF and the hair was sculpted, i'd vote SS.

The white elektra is the better of the SS ones. The SS one is better, but I'm not entirely happy with it either. Don't like the teeth at all, and the mixed media hair does not work that well.
The Bowen, my where do you begin? Face? Terrible! Body? Aweful. Stance? Boring. I used to own this piece, but sold it after I realized she paled in comparison to Clay Moore's Black Cat. She had to go after a few months of seeing them side by side.
What we need is a redo, but I'm convinced only Clay moore can do her justice.

like them both...with the larger size you can get a lot more detail....I hate the hair though...but at the end of the day I'd have to go with sideshow's

Sideshow, easy.
How come in this pic the bandana blows in the same (correct) direction as the waist cords? Was this the prototype and did they for some reason decide that the wind blows in a different direction 15 inches higher?

The problem is that I didn't take the time to fix the hair and clothing like the promo pictures. The hair and the wired clothing can be repositioned just like the picture you posted. I'll see if I can retake a better photo later.

Sideshow by about a mile and a half. Rooted hair is okay. Probably would have been better sculpted. However, given the pose, the hair would have probably either been fragile, or would have been weirdly styled.
The leather look costume is awesome (if you're picking up the flap, um... well... yeah).
Purchased both the white and red. Maybe SS should come out with a limited edition black. Hmmm.
Hoping the BD bust pulls it off though.

I went with SS, although they are both pretty unattractive IMO. Something about the face.

while I prefer the sculpt on the SS, the rooted hair kills it for me
