I didn't mind the first one, thought it was ok. I don't think I finished watching the second one, all I remember is watching doom ride the surf board... ugh

Agreed, the Thing suit was indeed ridiculous. I liked the Reed, Sue, and JS casting. They worked. I even thought the Doom casting was solid. I think having LF voice SS was an excellent choice. That movie needed a physical Galactus though.

Agreed on all points.
To elaborate on Doom... IMO the problem wasn't in the casting but in how the character was written for the film.

exactly HB. that's what i was talking about in reference to Doom.
plus i thought that they could have designed his costume a bit better. kind of like what SS did with their LSF Doom.

Before replying to this post PLEASE REMEMBER THE FORUM RULES OF CONDUCT.
Love or hate the casting please keep your comments politically correct and focused on your take on the actors ability or suitability and the studio/filmmakers direction.
We DO NOT want sweeping generalizations, or racist innuendos or undertones. We also do not want malarky about conspiracys or agendas.
"We here at SCHMOES KNOW have learned, exclusively, from a very trusted source within our ranks that MICHAEL B JORDAN has just signed on the dotted line for Johnny Storm AKA the Human Torch.
Through our source within Michael B Jordan’s agency, it’s confirmed that he has, in fact, signed on to appear as the Human Torch. So, the many rumors saying he was interested in the part were, well, I guess they were correct!"

So basically we can't reply. Since I can't say why this casting sucks... I'll simply say this sucks. Political correctness is a cancer.

I am fine with the actor, but not okay with Storm being a black man. Which is exactly what I said about Jonny Depp being Tanto, and Samuel Jackson being Fury.

Oh and Katie Sackhoff as Starbuck.
My point here is not racist or sexist, but more that these changes were made all under the guise of "fresh and new". Fresh and new to me is creating entirely new characters and having them grow into their own identity. While I enjoyed SLJ as Fury (and still do), the fact remains (to me) is that the identity of the character we all grow up knowing has changed.
