If I remember correctly that thing was said by Singer too to the entire cast of the first X-Men movie, do not watch a comic or the animated series.

if they watched the animated series they could of maybe realized how the X-men should be done lol I dont mind the first x-men movie, but yeah it could have been a lot better

A lot better indeed.

There are some decent movies like X2 & FC but seeing the whole picture it's a pretty messed up franchise.

but in all honestly. didnt care fro X2 or FC.
first class should have been Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Beast (human form as seen in the comics) and Iceman. and of course Prof. X
i totally despised the fact that they took the entire team of characters out of context from what the original line up of the team was. and i really didn't care for beast's costume. he should have been CG.
the entire franchise would have been much better story wise if they stuck true to the source material.

agreed, FC was an enjoyable movie if I pretend it was based on no source material at all, but if I view it as an adaptation of the true first class of X-men from the comics, its probably the worst adaptation imagineable
