Had Bowen done a clear flaming hand how it SHOULD have been done .. it would have won by a mile ... as it is now, it's just an okay piece.
The DF piece though is just God awful, from design to execution.

The DF version looks awful in that pic. Classic example of pic not doing justice for a great piece and needs to be seen in person to appreciate. I love this bust. The pose is very dynamic and size very imposing. My vote goes to DF version.

The BD one has my vote. John Byrne is one of my favorite writers/artists and the BD just stepped off the page. My only complaint with it (like so many other people) is how the flaming hand came out.

The DF paint scheme is better than Bowen's, but everything else about Bowen's is better. The flaming hand is a bummer, but overall the Bowen Super Skrull is better, I guess that is why I bought it.

If you could post better pictures, then please feel free to do so. I think the bust basically looks like the picture and I don't think it would sway any opinions if it were pictured any better.

Carrillj, did not mean to offend. I can take a shot with the pic, but mine will be just as awful or worse. Point I was making was that DF needs to be seen in person to appreciate how great the piece really is. It is a very underrated bust IMO.

Well of course that is your opinion and I will respect it. I'm just surprised that you would use words that strong to describe a bust that will not be for everyone, but is far from being "awful" (at least in my opinion).
The DF Super Skrull bust was sculpted by the Gore Groups Martin Canale, who has an impressive portfolio of sculpts that inlcude Sideshows Wolverine vs. Sabretooth and the premium format Green Goblin (just to name a few). I don't think the guy is capable of sculpting anything "awful", because he is just so talented.

No problem. I think it's time to get a new camera anyway.
I agree the bust needs to be seen, to be fully appreciated.

And because you (like me) want to keep the Annihilation display going.
