Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Best Superman Statue?
Wondering opinions on the best Superman statue available?
(If this has been discussed in a previous thread, a kick in that general direction would be appreciated)

My opinion:
There was a kit available a while back, based on the art of Mr Ross. You can occasionally find a painted one on e-bay. I believe it is 1/4 scale, and it is magnificent. Wish I had one. Also, pre-orders are being taken for the Christopher Reeve Cinemaquette 1/3 scale. That one will undoubtedly be nice as well. Very expensive though.

# 1 for me is the Christopher Reeve Superman 1978 Movie statue. It's absolutely beautiful, breathtaking and unique in all aspects. Also in my opinion the Superman Fleisher Studios 1941 style statue and the Public Enemies DVD Superman Maquette are great representations of Krypton's most famous son.

In my opinion, I think the best one is the Superman Forever statue based off the art of Alex Ross. I think the pose is just classic Superman and represents the character amazingly well.
Here's a couple quick pics I took of mine when I first got it, in case you don't know what it looks like.......

I am a little "Alex Ross'ed out" so for me I like the Jim Lee Superman statue.
Another option if you want something different is the Wonder Woman vs. Superman statue which is one of the coolest statues out there IMHO.
The upcoming DC Dynamics Supes looks awesome as well. I have the WW and couldn't be happier.

DC 1993 Bowen Superman (the one you can see in episodes of Seinfeld in Jerry's apartment). Very iconic!

I have to say that Ross is a greta artist, but I'm tired of looking at his stuff. Over exposed a bit. That said, I like his statue, but I thought it looked cheap, had some paint problems and his Sups is way too old for me. Again, I like him , but for "the best" or "classic" I have to go with the original Bowen that sat in the "Seinfeld" set. I have it, and its perfect!!! IMHO
