A big issue for me with some of the younger casting is that it makes what you are presenting even less believable. You need to have strong and plausible actors in these roles to hook an audience into suspending disbelief for the more fantastic comic book elements. Christopher Reeves made me believe a man can fly; Dean Cain was a guy dressed up as Superman.
Casting the hyper intelligent Mr. Fantastic, and by extention Sue and Ben, young is fallible and akin to when they tried to sell me Denise Richards as a Nuclear physicist.

If this reboot fails Fox will not blame the casting but instead the viability of the Fantastic Four as a film franchise.

I'm gonna get flamed, but, gotta say it anyways. I really didn't mind either of the FF films. Sure things could've been a lot better, but, IMO, they weren't that bad.

i can agree with that Simplyrob. the films weren't a total train wreck. the only thing that that was a major disappointment for me was the Thing. and Dr. Doom. but the thing played by a guy dressed in a suit wasn't the way to go. specially a guy who was the shortest person out of all the actors.
and if they do in fact cast those young actors and the black guy as JS. yeah it will blow up in their face. and they will have no one to blame but them selves.
