Again, if I have learned anything from being on internet forums, in particular movie, gaming and collecting forums, its that some people believe what they want to believe, regardless of how much evidence you provide them and most of those people always reply with tiny little statements that they think are witty, much like "Pretty sure its not illegal, mate...". This is just another perfect example of such a case.

And getting the last word in usually goes hand in hand with those kinds of people so if that is the case, now would be a good time for you to throw it out there as this will be my last post on the matter. No offense, but I honestly had better debates with my son, back when he was 2 and just learning how to talk.



Given the fact that Sideshow would actually prefer that people keep their prints over returning them....well, I certainly can't see Sideshow telling people that you have to return them all or none at all. If people decide they want to keep a print or 2, I can pretty much guarantee that Sideshow will let them keep them. Forcing people to return prints they want to keep isn't a very smart business move.

Sorry buddy. You can write volume after volume but I'm afraid I'm still pretty sure its not illegal. In your next novel do be sure to lecture us, who have never been to court regarding this issue, on the notion of "fair use".

We can't be sure of what both sides decided on this. Lau may have had less say in the matter than we'd imagine. I'm pretty sure SSC would have lawyered up and gotten advice before going ahead - they aren't a small firm anymore and major decisions with possible implications would have to be okay'd by legal. That plus the fact that there hasn't actually been any class action against them probably emboldened them to pursue this strategy. There certainly are enough affected to constitute a major class.

But no, aint happening and SSC must have known this. Any buyers complain, the old "return for refund" or otherwise 10% credit trick should do just fine, hey?

I just received an offer for 10% credit or return all the prints. Problem is I already paid a lot of money to custom frame mine so returning them is not an option, I'll be taking the 10% and dumping this line going forward. Already cancelled my Power Girl print.
