He was damaged much worse than that. Iron Monger beat the crap out of him.
But the damage wasn't really like that damage though. It wasn't really burns and scrapes, but crushed and missing parts (helmet, hand).

I think this piece is mostly trying to represent the scene where he's shot out of the air and crashes to the ground before shooting the tank
I love the look of the battle damage, especially on the helmet. They may have overdone the damage on the body but it still looks great to me. It hides the fact the paint on the clean isn't really that impressive IMO

I wish it was one statue, weathered, with swapout battle damaged plates for face, chest, legs and arms.

That would increase the price for us, as well as turning it into a giant hot toy. It needs to be one or the other at this scale IMO

Yeah maybe. My problem is that the clean version is too clean. And the battle damaged version looks toasted.

Probably right. Didn't think of that.

Well in the end, I changed my mind and ended up preordering the slightly more expensive battle damage version.
My own personal logic, was that I have the Mark 50 bust battle damage, the Mark 7 bust, and given that I didn't cancel it yet, I still have the 1/2 scale Mark 85 on preorder. So my plan is to have 2 clean, and 2 with battle damage.
And given that they ended up seriously decreasing the battle damage on the Mark 50 bust at their old factory, maybe they'll end up doing the same here. The former was a mistake, but here it could be a blessing.
