The Cape!
Hey, has anyone heard anything about the exclusive version's cape? The photos I've seen on the SS site and elsewhere are the same photos from over a year ago, so I'm wondering if the cape was just a prototype in those photos. It looks nothing like the cape in the film. It actually looks cheap and cartoony. Attakus has an amazing cape, so I was wondering if anyone has heard that SS was improving the cape on their version?

First of all, Welcome! 2nd, I agree that the Attakus cape does look better. They even have the little lightsabers in the pockets, something I wish SS would have done. I don't think SS has changed the cape from the original pics. I would say the GORE guys spent all their time sculpting and the cape, while it looks good, was secondary to that. My purist answer, "He didn't have the cape on anyway when he had all 4 lightsabers out."

The mystery of the cape
Howdy and thanks for the welcome!
Here's my confusion regarding the cape - there is a picture of Greivous on the Star Wars SS page which I have seen on a couple of other retailer sites which has a perfect looking cape - the picture actually looks like it could be from the movie, it's that good. But SS doesn't post pictures from the movies to advertise their figures, do they? All the other pictures on the Star Wars page are of the actual product, so I'm thinking they have indeed upgraded the cape. Although the pose looks a little different. I'm so confused. I guess we'll know soon enough, but after seeing the Attackus figure up close I really, really hate that original SS cape.

I prefer the Clone Wars cartoon look (and character) for Grievous.

yeah, i kinda miss the "unstoppable jedi killer that the jedi actually fear," which was how he was originally desccribed in the build up. Ob-wan made pretty short of him in the sabre duel.
