At any rate, it will be a while before the license can go back to Marvel. No reason for Fox to hand it back to them earlier unless some deal it worked out.

I don't think it's an unprecedented move. When Fox returned the rights to Daredevil, they also let go of Ghost Rider whose last movie was only four years ago at this point. I believe that Fox issued a statement claiming that Daredevil wasn't a viable film property and Marvel had the Netflix deal made in quick succession. You're probably right that they wouldn't want to put themselves in a similar situation with the FF properties.

The Shi'ar fit just as well in the developing Marvel cosmic cinematic universe as the Kree, Skull, Silver Surfer, or any other cosmic character. They won't get the chance to be in it though, because of the whole legal garbage, but they belong just as much as any of the other comics mentioned.

You're right, they do. My point was on the opposite side however stating the X-Men have more ties to the Shi'ar than any of the other cosmic characters and as such I could see them potentially being used in FOX's cinematic universe whereas the others would likely never make an appearance and would be better served in Marvel's plans.

I just want the cosmic side back to Marvel so we can get some sort of film spin of Annihilation. That was one of the best stories Marvel has done in years and years.

I think we all look forward to Marvel films telling us all about the epic journey Tony Stark had to take across the universe to stop Annihilus after he created him by mistake

Just saw this today in the theaters. It was complete trash and bombed so badly. Worse yet is that the director of this hot mess REFUSES to take any blame for this movie's complete and utter failure.
