it's not the same thing. it looks like now it's a Ferrigno statue instead if a Ferrigno as the Hulk.

Where does it say that?

Ok! Oh boy...uuummmmm....ok just have to say it! Not.....feeling........this......at........all. Not at all!

Ok! This is the pic that just devastates this statue for me. I don't like the pose at all. This shot looks like that old 70's animation with about 5 frames of the legs moving but the whole upper torso remaining still.

Ok. The face is the worst part. Period. Now, there are some decent parts to the statue. I think the back part of the statue is pretty nice. There is some good musculature on his back and calves. The pants are sculpted ok but the paint up is pretty bland.

Companies have to got to understand when you are charging $400 for a statue, it needs to be special, painted very well, sculpted superfluously, and if you are doing a likeness of someone, it has to be excellent. The paint scheme for this statue is fine for an MK $250 statue. It is NOT ok for a $400 one. Look at the difference between.

I like this profile shot, although it still is not great. But at this angle, I think it looks better than it does at other angles. But what one can see is just how simple the paint job is on this Hulk.

Lastly, and this kind of agitates me, is the sculpt of the foot in the ground. What do I mean? Quite simply, there is no musculature in the calf and also no friction or movement in the foot area to where it looks like he is walking or getting ready to push off. The foot is just there.

Ultimately, it's not that this statue is not up to par due to a poor sculpt but its lackluster because the paint job is soooo mediocre and not detailed enough. There is hardly any color variation, the green is more akin to the green in comics. If I remember correctly, Lou Ferrigno Hulk is closer to an olive greenish color similar to Skaar but darker and richer.

From certain angles this sculpt doesn't look bad. Hell, I know I couldn't sculpt this well nor paint it this well. But then again, I'm not in the sculpting and painting profession. But I do know what great sculpting and solid painting is as well as what lackluster sculpting and painting is.

If i have to grade this, it would be as follows:

Sculpt = C+
Paint = C+/C (relative to cost of this statue)
Design/Pose = D+ (a better Ferrigno pose similar to Hulk Hogan's pose would have been better)

Overall = C (I've seen far far worse, but I've also seen much, much better)

Syco's MK statues are much better done than this one especially in relation to price.

Well, every company has duds. Sideshow, Bowen, Cinemaquette, Koto, etc. etc. But this could be done better. One has to ask themselves a question. Am I going to pay $400 for this? Or use it to buy one of SS statues coming out shortly!
