I think on the old StatueMarvels site someone posted a collection of all the Bowen Faux Bronze statues displayed on shelves and they looked incredible. I Neve got into the faux bronze either but do remember thinking the display looked impressive.
It did seem that the Faux Bronze leaned more towards the male characters. The only female that was done was The Valkyrie.
How was it determined what characters got the faux bronze treatment. I remember hearing that if a character who was maybe going to get the faux bronze treatment had to have a certain number pre orders and if that was not met then the faux bronze version was not made. I am not sure if that was a rumor or if that was true.

There was a Beta Ray Bill version planned but it was scrapped. Dr Strange too I think. The only one I have is the museum Silver Surfer but he doesn’t look very “bronzy” to me.

yeah, I have noticed that some of the faux bronze statues either look very bronzy or only have a bronzy look to them but still with color.

That certainly makes sense from a business perspective

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I remember that. It looked great. Bronze has a different feel. Monument energy.
