Good pickup!

I think that's a darn good price, restored or not. I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to get your money back for it... You might want to find out what low grade cgc-ed comparables are and maybe get it graded.
And I hope you're doing well, UD...

well....I would LOVE to have that book...but would probably have shy'd away due to the restored status.
Bottom line, if you are happy, thats all that matters!

That's a super great price IF it's the original although it does looks heavily water damaged. MARVEL released exact reprints in the 70's. I have the FF #1, AMZING FANTASY #15 and SPIDER-MAN #1 releases. There was a JIM #83 that I never picked up though.....

The reprints (Golden Record Reprints) didn't have the 12 cent price on them, which was the main way to tell the difference.
In terms of the price, I agree that it's a great price regardless of what may be wrong with it. I've seen "VG" books (looking more like "G" books) with asking prices well higher than this.

Hey, Galactus, wasn't there some kind of reprint that was as exact copy? The only was you could tell it was a copy was on the first page when you opened the book and at the bottom of the page after the MARVEL address and stuff it would discretely say SECOND PRINTING or REPRINT OF...?
